WNBA Supports BCRF
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the New York Liberty joined forces for Breast Health Awareness Night at Madison Square Garden on July 31, 2007. In addition to raising vital funds for the Foundation, BCRF and the Liberty honored one of its most ardent supporters and vice president of its Board of Directors, Jeanette Wagner. A Liberty season ticket holder and devoted fan, Wagner was presented with a signed team ball on center court by WNBA legend, Kym Hampton.
Prior to the opening tip off, a select group of breast cancer survivors participated in a ball ceremony with the members of the Liberty team. It was a moving evening for all involved.
