Pilates in the Park
On October 7, 2007, Pilates enthusiasts made their way to Union Square Park in New York City for SHAPE magazine's Pilates for Pink Festival. SHAPE hosted six Pilates for Pink classes attended by almost 500
people. All of the proceeds from the classes were donated to BCRF. In addition, hundreds of readers joined SHAPE in the park for other fun activities. In addition to the festival and an online auction, over 500 Pilates studios across the country hosted special Pilates for Pink classes throughout the month of October. The SHAPE program raised more than $130,000 for BCRF from all three programs.
