The Estée Lauder Companies: 15 Years of Pink![]() The Estée Lauder Companies' Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign celebrated its milestone 15th anniversary in fall 2007 with its classic illuminations and groundbreaking retail promotions. Heading west after a whirlwind East Coast tour last year, the Campaign began in Vancouver with Elizabeth Hurley taking our neighbors to the north by storm. After wowing crowds at Holt Renfrew's launch of its Pink Cashmere Hoodie, Hurley flew to Seattle for a Nordstrom event with Anne Klein's lead designer Isabel Toledo. Next it was off to Bloomingdale's in San Francisco, where Laura Lauder hosted a luncheon and celebrated Bloomingdale's "Little Pink" October campaign for BCRF. Finally, the tour ended at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills with Elizabeth Hurley and BCRF Advisory Board member and noted cartoonist, Marisa Acocella Marchetto, who spoke about her personal experience with breast cancer as told in her book, Cancer Vixen. In addition, Aveda, Bobbi Brown, bumble and bumble, Clinique, Darphin, Donna Karan Cosmetics, Estée Lauder, Jo Malone, Lab Series Skincare for Men, La Mer, Origins, Prescriptives, Tommy Hilfiger Toiletries, and Sean John Fragrances all sold pink products to benefit BCRF. The 2007 Sale-A-Bration was a record-breaking success with more than 500 volunteers and $438,000 raised for BCRF. An impromptu lunchtime opera performance, a motorcycle ride, an online auction and bake sales also contributed to The Estée Lauder Companies overall fundraising success this year. ![]() |
