The Estée Lauder Companies Global Landmarks Illuminations Initiative
On Thursday, October 2nd, Bloomingdale's Flagship Store at 59th Street in Manhattan will become the first landmark in the 9th Annual Illuminations program to be bathed in a pink light. And on Thursday, October 16th, the world-famous Tower of London will also be lit in pink as it, too, joins the ranks of this year's remarkable program.
More details about the 2008 Illuminations will be posted as they become available.
Each year, famous landmarks around the world are illuminated in glowing pink lights during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, to focus attention and spread awareness about breast cancer and the message that early detection saves lives.
