Tough Enough To Wear Pink

This unique campaign to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research rallies the western community at rodeos across the country. The challenge has gone out, and when it comes to cowboys fighting breast cancer, it seems clear the answer is yes!

BCRF is excited to be a beneficiary of Tough Enough To Wear Pink, conceived and created in 2004 by entrepreneur Terry Wheatley, a breast cancer survivor with deep roots in the western community and already a generous supporter of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Today, this quintessential grassroots effort has spread all over the country with events at rodeos throughout the season! In 2006, a check for $1 million was presented to Tough Enough To Wear Pink at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Terry Wheatley accepted on behalf of the breast cancer research community. The check represented the combined efforts of industry players, big and small, to raise money in support of research, awareness, education, screening and treatment of breast cancer for the millions of Americans affected by the disease.
