Lehigh Valley Miata Owners Club
This enthusiastic association of Miata owners in Pennsylvania has been supporting BCRF for several years through their annual event, The Drive To Survive. To date, they have raised over $34,000.
The idea for The Drive To Survive arose from a discussion among some of the Lehigh Valley group members, after they attended an event in New Jersey benefitting breast cancer education. They chose to donate funds raised by their event to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, mainly due to the high percentage of funds that BCRF sends to critical research--85¢ of every dollar donated.
The Fifth Annual Drive To Survive 2009 event will be held on Sunday, October 4. Following registration and a continental breakfast, participants will take an 80-mile drive on roads winding around the Lehigh Valley, ending with luncheon at Young Mazda of Easton.
The Lehigh Valley Miata Owners Club, along with local establishments and businesses, is expecting a big turnout to help raise funds and to assist in their quest to defeat breast cancer.
