Close To The Heart Hikers

NEWSFLASH! Sunday, July 13, 2008:
The Close to the Heart Hikers at the summit!
The final hike took place on Sunday, July 13, in Yosemite.
CTTH raised more than $14,000 for breast cancer research funding through BCRF.

Their Story
This group of eight very determined and dedicated women has undertaken a special fundraising effort in which they gather together for a charity hike twice a month to raise money for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

As their name would imply, their mission is very close to their hearts. Each month, the hikes get more difficult, and will culiminate in a final hike in Yosemite, CA in mid-July!

The CTTH Hikers (not all shown in images)--Ellyn, Kay, Anne, Heide, Janice, Meg, Pat and Peg, keep their mission top-of-mind every time they lace up their boots:

We have all known a mother, daughter, aunt, sister or friend who has been touched by breast cancer. In honor and memory of these women, we are doing our part to help bring an end to this disease. We are hiking to symbolize the upward climb so many face during treatment and in the years beyond.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is honored to have been chosen as the beneficiary of this remarkable group.

You can still make a donation in honor of the Close To The Heart Hikers (CTTH). You can choose to honor any one of the ladies individually, or the group as a whole, from the source code menu when making your donation.
