While on vacation this summer in Long Beach Island, Surf City, NJ, Jordan Falvey and her friends wanted to do something that would help to support breast cancer research, and at the same time offer some relief from the summer heat! So they set about creating the brightest, pinkest and best decorated lemonade stand they could imagine.
Balloons, golden lettering, streamers and hearts festooned their lemonade stand, in several shades of pale to bright pink. They themselves wore homemade pink headbands and braided their hair in pigtails. The girls got a lot of attention from beach goers, as they sold their special brand of lemonade for $1.00 per cup. When it was all over they had raised $120 for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Bravo!
