The F.A.B. 5K Fun Run / Walk, Arlington Heights, IL
The F.A.B. 5K - a neighborhood Fight Against Breast Cancer - took place on Saturday, June 12th, 2010, starting at 9am. The race will began and ended at Patton Elementary School, 1616 North Patton, Arlington Heights, IL. This was an inaugural event for the F.A.B. 5K group, who were anxious to support specifically one of their dear friends who is battling Stage IV breast cancer, but also all our sisters, mothers, daughters and friends who may in some way be touched by the disease. The group far surpassed their initial goal of $6,000 and raised a total of almost $17,000!!!
For those who could not participate in the event but wanted to give their support to the group, F.A.B. 5K created a BCRF Time For Research cause page where people could make direct online donations, and at the end of the event, offline donations were also uploaded so that the full amount could be viewed F.A.B. 5K Time For Research Cause.
