the Anastacia Fund

Since being diagnosed with breast cancer in January, 2003, singer/songwriter Anastacia has become resolved to channel her energies into raising funds and awareness that will specifically target younger women who are stricken, and who have no family history of the disease.

For this purpose, the Anastacia Fund has been established through The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Anastacia is back! And since she's never been a woman to do things by halves, when she talks about a fresh start, you can be sure she's going all the way. New look, new sound, new label, new management, newly wed - but the same powerhouse of a voice that has already sold more than 17 million albums in Europe and Australia alone.

Read Anastacia's latest biography...the compelling account of her battle with breast cancer and how it has affected her life and her career.

Anastacia is concerned that women under the age of 40 are not generally targeted for breast cancer screening, self-examination and mammograms, except in situations where there is a family history of breast cancer.

She is determined to change these statistics. As a result of her own experience, Anastacia realized that her doctor's insistence that she have a mammogram actually saved her life! Her resolve to fight will never be broken and she is passionate about how she can help other young women become more in charge of their own health.

In her partnership with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Anastacia and her fans will help to raise funds for research on breast cancer in younger women--why it happens, how to prevent it, and how to treat and cure it if it does occur.
