On April 27th, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) celebrated its 16th anniversary and a decade in concert with Sir Elton John at its annual The Hot Pink Party charity benefit at the Waldorf=Astoria. Elizabeth Hurley hosted the evening's festivities with more than 900 attendees coming out to help raise well over $4 million to fuel the fight against breast cancer.

Bette Midler, filling in for New York City Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, surprised Sir Elton John by proclaiming April 27, 2010 "Sir Elton John Day."

Additional stars that came out to support the Foundation included actresses Marcia Gay Harden (Meet Joe Black, most recently on Broadway’s God of Carnage), Diane Neal (Law & Order: SVU), Julie Benz (HBO's Dexter, star of new ABC show No Ordinary Family); Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir (Be Good Johnny Weir); ballroom dancer Karina Smirnoff (Dancing with the Stars); fashion designers Donna Karan and Vera Wang; and Estée Lauder spokesmodel Hilary Rhoda.
