The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) honored and celebrated New England's premier breast cancer researchers at The Boston Hot Pink Party on May 13th at the Four Seasons Hotel. More than 400 guests were in attendance raising over $850,000 to fuel the fight against breast cancer.
The evening's festivities were preceded by an enlightening Symposium entitled "The Marriage of Clinical Medicine and Laboratory Science: Legacy of Judah Folkman" featuring a panel of four of New England’s leading breast cancer experts: William Kaelin, J
Dr., MD, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; Marsha Moses, PhD, Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School; Andrea Richardson, MD, PhD, Brigham & Women's Hospital; Stuart J. Schnitt, Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center, and moderated by Clifford Hudis, MD, BCRF Scientific Advisory Committee Chairman, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
The 2010 Boston Humanitarian Award was presented by Larry Lucchino, President and CEO of The Boston Red Sox to Paul and Phyllis Fireman for their outstanding philanthropy.
