BCRF Grantees Shine at the 2013 ASCO Annual Meeting

The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) held its Annual Meeting from May 31 through June 4 in Chicago. The meeting brought together more than 25,000 oncology professionals to explore the theme, "Building Bridges to Conquer Cancer."  BCRF grantees contributed significantly to this year's proceedings through presentations of their innovative studies.

BCRF is "Boston Strong" at Annual Boston Hot Pink Party

BCRF’s signature Boston Hot Pink Party on May 8th proved itself a testament to the unwavering support of the community in Boston to BCRF and to the city’s scientific talent. “To cure breast cancer we need promising research,” said Carolyn and Peter S. Lynch, who were honored at the event with the 2013 Boston Humanitarian Award for their philanthropic work in New England. The event raised $850,000 for New England-based BCRF researchers.

CAROLEE Celebrates 20 Years with BCRF

On May 16, 2013, leading fashion jewelry company, CAROLEE, marked a 20-year partnership with BCRF by presenting a check for $125,000 — a record-breaking donation for the company funded primarily by sales from the brand’s 40th Anniversary Legacy Collection. CAROLEE executives and designers joined Leonard Lauder, BCRF Co-Chairman, Myra Biblowit, BCRF President, and Deborah Krulewitch, BCRF Secretary, for the presentation.

Omni United Continues to Help Mobilize Research Project

G.S. Sareen, President and CEO of global tire manufacturer Omni United, presented BCRF with a check for $250,000 for the second consecutive year. The donation is a result from the company's successful 2012 Mobilizing Hope campaign. Omni continues its support of BCRF this year through their limited edition “Ring of Hope” Radar tire that features a sidewall pink stripe accent.

Tijuana Flats Spices Up the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Tijuana Flats raised $54,000 through the sales of the company’s signature Just in Queso “Sauce that Saves” salsa, making this philanthropic organization’s total donation to BCRF $229,835.  Thank you to The Estée Lauder Companies for helping bring this wonderful partnership to life.
