host your own fundraiser to benefit BCRF!
Hosting your own fundraiser is a great way to raise money for breast cancer research, and offer friends and family an opportunity to have fun! Take a look at some of the events (pictured left) that have been organized to benefit BCRF.
Here is how you can get started:
Step 1: Decide what kind of fundraiser you want to host. It could be a bake sale, an auction, a sporting event, a birthday party - there are so many creative ways to raise money and get your community involved. Browse previous fundraisers for inspiration!
If you would like to invite your friends and family to make a donation in lieu of wedding gifts, birthday gifts or for your Bar/Bat Mitzvah, BCRF has created sample cards and text (click on the links) that you can adapt for your own fundraiser.
Step 2: Contact BCRF. Tell us about your event, ask questions - we can't wait to hear from you!

Step 3: Know the facts! Learn about our work and mission so that you can tell your friends why you are supporting BCRF. Tell your family and friends exactly where their donation is going. And you can also view or request our marketing materials!
Step 4: In addition to our event registration, check out BCRF's online donation program, Time For Research. We strongly recommend that you consider Time For Research as part of your fundraising strategy. You can use this program alone to receive and record your contributions, or include it along with other offline fundraising options to offer an online component for your event participants.
Step 5: After your event, let us know how it went!
